So far so good

Well the experiment in using WordPress to create a client newsroom is proving highly satisfactory. Even someone as time poor as me has been able to create a very servicable front end that I know won’t turn obsolete as WordPress is now firmly part of the web foundations and will update and improve as time goes on. It provides a perfectly easy way of publishing our releases and keeping them ordered and searchable. It even can provide RSS feeds to allow pickup on our main site and we are using Twitterfeed to link onto Twitter. All very easy and all done by a complete novice.

Of course we could have employed a professional to set it up and sort out the bells and whistles but that would have limited the experiment which was to prove that non-technical folk can create acceptable websites simply using wordpress.

To prove the point check out the work in progress that is our church website which I am helping to develop with a friend. www.stpeters-ruddington.org
