Victoria Centre Nottingham has appointed Integra Communications Limited to handle regional public relations and media communications from May 2010.
Nottingham-based Integra Communications is working with the Centre’s marketing team to maximise publicity for its seasonal events, key news stories and community support work.
Attracting over 23 million visitors a year, Victoria Centre is part of the Capital Shopping Centres (CSC) group which recently announced plans for a 400,000 sq ft expansion of the Nottingham site. Integra will also act as a press link to the national CSC commercial and consumer communications advisers and the account will be managed by director Louise Third.
“Victoria Centre is a popular and familiar destination for millions of people, whether they shop, work, eat or meet there,” says Louise. “We are delighted to be working alongside General Manager Richard Bowler who has exciting ideas for the scheme’s development. We will be looking at innovative ways of encouraging even more shoppers to identify with Victoria Centre as their main retail destination in an increasingly stylish city.”
Commenting on the appointment, Richard Bowler said: “We are delighted to have appointed Integra Communications, at this very exciting stage of the Victoria Centre. We continuously strive to improve the overall shopping experience, and with the assistance of Integra, ensure that our shoppers are kept fully informed at each stage”.
Integra Communications specialises in B2B and B2C public relations across a variety of sectors, including science and healthcare, IT, retail, manufacturing and business support. The company handles publicity on a pro bono basis for several charitable causes, and Louise Third runs popular speaker coaching workshops in partnership with BBC TV presenter Des Coleman.
