Louise is recognised for her contribution to enterprise promotion and small business support as well as for her charitable work both in Nottinghamshire and nationally.

Evidence that momentum is being generated in attracting girls into careers in industry was delivered at the EDT Future Industry Leaders Awards, held at the Royal Society of Engineering last night. In an unprecedented result, the winners of all the four prizes on offer were female, having completed stunning projects for major science and engineering employers.

Louise Third Nov 2014The 2014 Start Your Business Award winners were announced in London on December 3rd by publishers Gambit Interactive with the Lifetime Achievement Award for services to enterprise in the UK going to Nottingham businesswoman and founder of public relations consultancy Integra Communications, Louise Third. Louise was on a working trip to Uganda at the time of the ceremony and has recently returned to be told of the announcement.

The UK engineering sector will get its first major opportunity to assess a crucially important development in structural dynamics and vibration measurement at Advanced Engineering UK 2014 – at the NEC, 11-12 November 2014. The event is the University of Leicester’s ASDEC facility’s first major exhibition since its launch during the summer. Visitors will be able to see how the fully robotised 3D Scanning Laser Doppler Vibrometer (Robovib) technology at the £2.5m centre gives distinct benefits of speed, accuracy and volume of measurements over traditional methods.

Leading UK Business Network launched in Liverpool

Over 90 senior business decision makers registered to attend the re-launch of the Liverpool group of The Business Network on 16 October at the Thistle Liverpool, Atlantic Tower. This new group is part of a nationwide business networking organisation which has worked over 21 years to improve the quality and impact of building business relationships. Guests attending the launch event raised £450 for the Steve Prescott Foundation.
