Mobius Life Sciences Fund invests in XenoGesis Limited

Mobius Life Sciences Fund has announced an investment in XenoGesis Limited, the contract research organisation (CRO) which provides laboratory-based services to pharmaceutical clients engaged in drug discovery. Mobius’ financing is part of a £135,000 investment round in the fast-growing start-up company, which includes loan funding from Nottingham City Council. The funds will be used for working capital and investment in both laboratory and office IT infrastructure. Mobius investment also comes with industry expertise in company growth.

Integra Communications has been appointed to undertake a short term project for the “Fit for Work” services in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. The services are part of a national pilot scheme testing the proposition that providing early intervention on a case management basis can prevent those who are off work on long term sick from losing their jobs and becoming benefit claimants. Integra Communications has been appointed to raise awareness of the service among businesses in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire to enable interventions to be made to support their employees as required.

Record number of entries in ‘Where Art Meets Science’ competition

Thirty six of the East Midlands most creative students have registered for the 2012 Healthcare and Bioscience iNet competition ‘Where Art Meets Science’, an increase of 20% on last year’s applications. The Universities of Lincoln, Nottingham Trent, Derby and De Montfort have encouraged art and design undergraduates to enter the popular competition which is open to students across the region.
